Jordan Berger’s journey with St John Ambulance began at the age of 15 when she joined as a Cadet with the Bayside Division in Melbourne, Victoria. Inspired by a lifelong dream of becoming a paramedic, Jordan quickly embraced every opportunity the Youth Program offered, developing the leadership, confidence, and First Aid skills that would shape both her career and her commitment to service.
After beginning her volunteer journey with the Bayside Division, Jordan went on to join the Monash Youth Division, where she later served as Divisional Manager. Here, she consistently demonstrated a passion for personal growth and community service, taking on leadership opportunities that helped her become a respected mentor, leader, and First Aider.
Jordan ultimately achieved her goal of becoming a paramedic and has remained committed to giving back to the organisation that helped launch her career. As the inaugural National Youth Awards Officer, she led St John Ambulance Australia’s youth awards programs, inspiring and empowering young people across the country to strive for excellence and reach their full potential. Through mentoring Cadets and promoting the values of the organisation, she helped countless young members develop the confidence and skills to make a meaningful impact in their communities.
A strong advocate for youth development, Jordan has been a positive role model for cadets nationwide, particularly for young women considering leadership pathways. Her dedication to service has also extended beyond Australia. She has applied her skills and experience gained through St John, while volunteering in the United States and Tanzania, supporting communities and people in need on an international scale.

Jordan credits much of her determination and “go-getter” attitude to her experiences with St John Ambulance. She hopes her journey encourages other young women within the organisation to step forward, embrace new challenges, and actively pursue opportunities for growth.
Don’t just wait for opportunities, but actively seek them out. Put your hand up, give everything a go, and you’ll be amazed at what you can achieve.
