Anyone can save a life on Australia’s roads. St John is committed to safer roads and first aid ready communities. This includes efforts to equip Australians with the knowledge, skills, confidence and equipment to provide first aid roadside.

Learner Driver First Aid

Anyone can save a life on Australia’s roads.

Basic First Aid Interventions in the crucial minutes after a crash or roadside incident, such as keeping an airway open, stopping a bleed, or applying an Automated External Defibrillator can save a life or prevent further injury.

Advocacy for change

St John calls for all Australians who are getting behind the wheel or on the road, to have first aid skills and knowledge.

We have called for Governments in Australia to make changes to systems and legislation that will see First Aid training become a pre requisite to having a driver’s license.
